Three UK – Aurora Borealis

To strengthen brand attribution, and bring more warmth and theatre to Three UK’s already distinctive visual identity, WHAM embarked on an asset creation project with digital content designers FutureDeluxe – culminating in a new visual asset for use across the UK network’s myriad digital touchpoints.

The asset, reminiscent of the ethereal effect of the northern lights, is entitled ‘Aurora Borealis’, and builds on Three’s distinctive signature brand colour Aurora Sunrise. It captures the invisible energy of the Three network, and exists in multiple forms and formats – from close to wide crops and intense colour to lighter hues – a backdrop for the brand’s diverse communications online, in stores and TVCs.

Throughout the ideation, R&D and production phases, WHAM collaborated with Three UK’s brand team in Reading, to ensure Aurora Borealis complemented the brand’s concurrent promotional and campaign activity, and resonated with its brand platform, Life Needs a Big Network.
